Julia Morley - soprano

Julia studied music at the University of Huddersfield, majoring in performance and performs regularly as an oratorio soloist with choral societies across the North of England including Holmfirth, Bradford and Harrogate Choral Societies and the Tatton Singers.

Julia was a founder member of the opera company 'OPERAworks', where she made her opera debut with the role of Belinda in Purcell's 'Dido and Aeneas'.  

Julia has toured with Bryn Tyrfel in the UK and Paris and with Russell Watson on his 20th anniversary UK tour.

Jill Taylor - mezzo soprano

Jill Taylor studied music and performance at Manchester Polytechnic. As well as being a regular soloist for weddings and funerals, oratorio performances have included Durufle and Faure requiems, Handel’s Messiah, Verdi Requiem, Vaughan Williams “Sea Symphony”, Mozart C Minor mass, Bach B Minor mass and Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius.

Recital performances have taken Jill to the Lake District, Stoneyhurst College, The Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and Preston midday recitals. Concert work with small ensembles and chamber orchestras has included John Taverner’s Russian song cycle ‘Akhmatova’s Songs’ for voice and cello, Mahler’s song cycle ‘Leider Eines Fahrenden Gessellen’ and Ravel’s ‘Chanson Madecasses’.

Jill has toured with Bryn Tyrfel (and Julia) in the UK and Paris, with Russell Watson UK tour, and has appeared at The Royal Albert Hall and Sheffield Arena with Jarvis Cocker and Pulp, and in BBC Prom concert with Jarvis Cocker and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

Claire Dunham

Claire began playing piano and violin at the age of six and whilst at school in Manchester studied piano with David Smith at the Royal Northern College of Music. She has also studied with Peter Noke and Clifford Benson. Since graduating from the University of Leeds with a degree in English, she has been admitted to the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music - in both teaching and performance.

Claire has recorded three CDs with flute/oboe/piano trio intriplicate, performing with them across the country from Perthshire to St Martin in the Fields, London. Claire accompanies the National Children's Choir of Great Britain and Canzonetta Children's Choirs. Her work as an accompanist for intrumentalists has included appearances at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall and St George's Hall, Liverpool.
